Why I get involved.
For over twenty years I had an advantage in entrepreneurial decisions: access to capital, networks and experience. And I know how much easier decisions are when you do not have to sort everything out alone. Many owner-led businesses do not have this access.
For them I am involved on a voluntary, unpaid basis with the Kompetenz Kompass association, with an honest outside view at eye level. My firm is paid work for businesses that benefit from it; the association is my contribution for those who simply cannot afford an outside look at their business. This commitment is an economic-advisory activity compatible with the tax advisor profession (§ 57 (3) no. 3 StBerG), not tax or legal advice.
